Susan Simpson designs and builds one-of-a-kind Furniture and objects. Her particular Interest is in cabinets, display cases, kiosks, and capsules.
Inspired by the idea of the cabinets of curiosity, Simpson designs containers that hold objects with reverence. A longtime woodworker with a background in theater, Simpson is interested in creating context, telling stories and drawing focus through a variety of display strategies. Many of her designs have elements that invite interaction and close viewing.
